The Netherlands finished thirteenth out of fifteen during the first semi-final on Tuesday. Mia and Dion did not qualify for the final, which was won by Loreen on Saturday. Only Azerbaijan and Malta scored worse.
The occasional duo participated for the Netherlands with Burning Daylight. To reach the final, they should have finished in the top ten on Tuesday.
The number ten, Serbia continued with a total of 37 points. Finland appears to be the absolute winner of the first semi-final: Kaarija received 177 points.
Azerbaijan and Malta ended up below the Netherlands. Azerbaijan’s entry received four points and Malta just three.
Mia and Dion received the most points from Moldova and Sweden: they received 2 from both countries. The remaining three points came from Norway, Azerbaijan and Portugal.
Loreen won the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest with her song Tattoo. The Eurovision Song Contest will therefore take place in Sweden next year.
