The Netherlands consults on mission Mali, training mission Iraq stopped

Previous mission Mali

Between 2014 and 2018, the Netherlands participated with approximately 250 soldiers in the UN mission in Mali. Four Dutch people were killed. Two in a helicopter crash and two in an accident with a faulty mortar. If the Netherlands makes a contribution again at the end of next year, it will be much smaller: an aircraft with soldiers for the crew, maintenance and security.
