Tijjani Reijnders opened the scoring after two minutes of play and changed the fate of the first part of the match. Because that made the local team gave up possession of the ball and stopped the counterattack.
Nevertheless, Germany was disoriented and could not create any play. The Netherlands, on the other hand, showed that they have a very good counterattack and brought danger to the opposing goal with every quick exit.

At 38, the Germans stole the ball on an exit, put together a quick play and Deniz Undav took advantage of a rebound to score with a volley and first time to equalize the actions.
Ten minutes later, and with the Netherlands in shock, the German team increased their lead thanks to Joshua Kimmich at just the right moment: moments before the end of the first half.
Everything was set for Germany to impose conditions in the second period. But great games are made of unexpected events.
That’s why, and against all odds, the Dutch team came out better and, after five minutes, equalised. This time, Germany lost the ball at the start. The Netherlands did not waste their chance either. Ryan Gravenberch recovered the ball, passed it straight to Brobbey, who held onto the ball and passed it to the middle of the area, where Denzel Dumfries only had to push it in.
Both opponents continued to attack each other passionately and only took their foot off the accelerator in the 75th minute, when the match lost some intensity.
