the Netflix series based on a true story

How to sell drugs online (fast), had the right to a 2nd season that was uploaded on July 21. Like last year, we are on a rather short format, with two seasons of six episodes. The story is that of a young man, Moritz Zimmermann, a true pariah of his high school who starts selling drugs in his high school to win back his girlfriend. But very quickly things start to take on a massive dimension. Thus, while the series takes place in Germany, he takes the direction of the Netherlands, for an international trade, in the second season. But, what many people probably ignore is in the origins of the series: it is (in part) a true story.

How to sell drugs online and the real world

The facts the directors were inspired by took place in 2015 in Leipzig and are told by Vice. Maximilian, a young man of 18, creates the site Shiny Flakes on the dark web. Unlike the series, he manages his project on his own, combining his business sense and his computer skills. Very quickly, the young man made millions with bitcoins and disguised his income for that of a web design company.

It will attempt to erase hard drives the moment it is discovered, but fails. It will be discovered in particular because of an error in a package with the German post. If it is not known how the hero of the series will fall into the hands of the police, his fate is not in doubt. At the time of his arrest in Leipzig, the young man had 320 kg of drugs in his room worth 4.1 million euros. Allowed to leave his cell during the day, he also collaborated with the Netflix team for the series!

And good news for those who liked this very good second season (we will quickly review you, we promise), the sequel has already been confirmed. Netflix announced on July 28 that a third season has been ordered. What confirms that the last episodes were again very well received.
