TRIBUNNEWS.COM, PURWAKARTA – Someone who has been vaccinated against Covid-19, needs to do a quantitative serology test or test.
Pathology specialist from Siloam Hospitals Purwakarta, dr Adrian Suhendra SpPK said, the quantitative serology test is a medical method through taking blood samples which serves to identify pathogens in the human body.
“The goal is to determine and see a person’s immune response or antibodies from someone who has received the vaccine injection Covid-19, “said Adrian through a health discussion activity on the Instagram live channel of Siloam Hospitals Purwakarta, Saturday (6/3/2021).
Adrian Suhendra explained that the quantitative serology test was carried out at a special Serology laboratory which aims to read the results of the examination quantitatively.
Its existence is the total titer of antibodies present in the blood.

“This test is different from the previous rapid serological test, a qualitative method, which shows whether the test results are reactive or non-reactive.
The point is that the quantitative serological method functions to check the body’s immunity after vaccination, “said Adrian.
The serological quantitative test uses an immunoassay to determine the quantitative value of antibody titer to protein Spike-Receptor Binding Domain (S-RBD) COVID-19 in human blood.
This method will help give a person’s antibody value results accurately so that patients can find out how their body’s immune response to COVID-19.
