75-year-old Rodney Holbrook from the United Kingdom noticed that things stored in his shed – clothes pegs, nuts, bolts, etc. – were moving by themselves. The man decided to investigate the matter himself and installed a CCTV camera. He was very surprised when he found out what was actually going on in his shed, reports the publication “The Guardian”.
“In the beginning, I noticed that the food I put out for the birds ended up in my old boots, which were stored in the shed,” says the retired postman.
So the man installed a night vision camera on his workbench in the shed to see what was really going on there. The pensioner’s surprise was unsurpassed when he saw on the recording a mouse that comes every night and starts tidying the shed, putting back the scattered things in the box – nuts and bolts, clothes pegs and cables, etc.
“Now I don’t bother myself with putting things in places,” he laughs, adding that the items that were scattered in the morning have been put back together.
“I think that mouse would have put my wife in place if she had been there,” laughs the pensioner, noting that the rodent is strong enough to move even cable wires.
BBC notes that this is not the first case when the retired postman encountered such a “neat” mouse. Five years ago, when he lived in Bristol, the man experienced a similar situation.
He did video surveillance that time as well. At that time, the video he made became very popular on the Internet. But he would never have imagined that it would happen to him again in a completely different place.
