The NBA Finals gives Tatum “energy”

Jayson Tatum, leader of the Boston Celtics, assured that playing some NBA Finals at the Boston Garden gives him “different energies” and that he notices an increase in media pressure and expectation from the fans, after his team triumphed 116-100 against the Golden State Warriors and took a 2-1 series lead.

“It’s tough, there’s a lot of media, we train at the Garden. But we want to stay focused. When you get to the Garden and it’s already full when you warm up, you notice the different energies,” Tatum acknowledged at the post-match press conference.

The leader of the Celtics, who played his first game of the Finals in front of his fans, expressed his gratitude to the fans and stressed that he will need their support next Friday, in the fourth game of the series.

“I’m happy to win in front of our fans. It was fantastic to win for them, we’re going to need them on Friday too,” he said.

Jaylen Brown, with 27 points, nine rebounds and five assists; Jayson Tatum, with 26 points, six rebounds and nine assists, and Marcus Smart, with 24 points, guided Ime Udoka’s team to victory.

The 31 points from Steph Curry, with six triples, were not enough for the Warriors, nor were the 25 and five triples from Klay Thompson, who notably increased his shooting percentages, with no reward for Steve Kerr’s team.
