“This is a terrible war in Ukraine. It is also a war that could become a full-blown war that escalates into a full-fledged war between NATO and Russia. We are working on it every day to avoid that,” Stoltenberg continued.
Stoltenberg also said in the interview that there was no doubt that a full-blown war was possible. He added that it is important to avoid conflicts involving multiple countries in Europe and becoming full-fledged wars in Europe.
The Kremlin has repeatedly accused NATO allies of effectively becoming parties to the conflict by supplying Ukraine with weapons, training its troops and feeding military intelligence to attack Russian troops.
