SO Cholet 4-1 Angouleme

Jonathan Raoul’s youngsters took a huge step towards maintaining the game by winning a 3e consecutive victory in the league, this time against Angoulême at Pierre-Blouen. And with the manner please!

However, it was the visitors who took possession of the ball from the start of the match. However, intense pressure from Cholet allowed them to create several situations, and above all to achieve a set piece (1-0). Far from being defeated, Angoulême equalized quickly and logically in stride (1-1).

Fairer in both surfaces, the Rouge et Noir finally returned to the locker room with a narrow lead obtained 5 minutes from the end of the first period (2-1).

In the second half, the pace slowed. The locals regained control of the ball by adding two goals to the counter (4-1). An excellent operation in the ranking (7e29 pts) which bring the Choletais to only 2 pts from the 5e place occupied by Berrichonne de Châteauroux (31 pts).

Jonathan Raoul : “We met a very good team from Angoulême who posed many difficulties for us and completely prevented us from having control, especially in the first period. The guys were fairer in both areas and that also shows a certain maturity compared to the start of the season. It’s up to us to continue working to display more collective serenity when the opponent poses this kind of problem to us. Thank you to the large families who came and to the club volunteers for the entertainment around the match and in particular to Predrag for the atmosphere created. »

Little intensity in the second half. The Choletais allowed themselves to be put to sleep by their adversaries. And what had to happen happened: Carquefou equalized (1-1). Despite a few dangerous situations, Cholet did not manage to get back in front of the score.

Nathan Duret : “We can’t hope for a better result without more rigor throughout the game. It’s up to us to settle these important details for the next match against Vertou. Thank you to the supporters present as well as to the parents for their help in organizing the match. »

GJ Luzon 0-2 SW Cholet

For this fourth day of the second phase in R2, the Choletais had a shot to play in Luçon.

The Reds and Whites started the match with good intentions and a lot of intensity. They were quickly rewarded twice through Alexis and Enzo (11′ and 13′). However, the Choletais experienced a slump just before half-time which could have been sanctioned by a goal for the opponents.

On the restart, the young Maugeois came back with better intentions and got many chances without managing to worsen the score.

Thibaut Violleau : “The boys adapted well to the playing surface and were effective from the start of the match. I would like to congratulate them for their selflessness and their attitude throughout the match. Thank you to the families who made themselves available to accompany us. »

Le Mans FC 3-0 SO Cholet

Traveling to Le Mans on behalf of the fourth day, the young Choletais were beaten due to a very bad second half.

From the start of the second period, the Sang et Or opened the scoring against amorphous Choletais (1-0). Le Mans took the opportunity to double the lead (2-0) before killing the match ten minutes later on a penalty (3-0). The Manceaux retreated but remained in place. The Choletais finally did not find the solution and bowed heavily.

Antoine Richeux : “Inevitably, I am not satisfied with the overall meeting. A successful and interesting first period on all levels, spoiled by our start to the second period. The score is heavy but the Le Mans team was able to take advantage of our weariness on returning from the locker room. Thank you to the parents who came to support the players. Good luck to the Le Mans club.”
