Juan Mayorga’s text, directed by Mariana Giménez, takes place in a closed room, in which three dogs compete to obtain the coveted position of elite anti-terrorist seeker. Strength, sensitivity, logical interference, and even moral condition are qualities that come into play in this uncomfortable metaphor for contemporary state politics.
Erando González, who plays Casius, delves into the play and his character, an old dog that has passed for the role of hero, “has performed heroic acts and is at a point of consciousness where he doubts the validity of those acts as vindicators of justice, you are on one side or the other, because life offers no alternatives. “
Perpetual peace reflects on this, a work of this nature, starring dogs of different personalities that goes far beyond what it proposes.
“More than having a moral or reflection, this work raises the possibility of giving the viewer the reason to one or the other. Or perhaps the reason does not attend either side and we should march together, “says the actor.
The show has the participation of Armando Comonfort, Erando González, Fernando Huerta Zamacona, Roldán Ramírez and Andrés Weiss, actors from the CNT stable cast. The creative team of the work is made up of Estela Fagoaga, Ignacio Ferreyra and Mario Eduardo D´León as designers of the scenic device, costumes and lighting.
Perpetual Peace will be presented from March 16 to 21 at the El Granero Xavier Rojas Theater of the Centro Cultural del Bosque, located in Paseo de la Reforma and Campo Marte S / N, Polanco Chapultepec, Miguel Hidalgo, Mexico City.
The functions will take place from Tuesday to Friday at 8:00 p.m., Saturday at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday at 6:00 p.m. The approximate duration is 90 minutes. It is suitable for people over 12 years old, without restriction, and general admission will cost 150 pesos.
