The National Revenue Agency and the State Customs Service inspect the buffer parking lots for tire tracks at the border checkpoints – 2024-09-05 11:41:06

It starts today checking of the National Revenue Agency and the National Tax Service in connection with the problem of the buffer parking lots for heavy-duty vehicles. Because of the tension on the borders Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev convened an emergency meeting in the Council of Ministers and ordered inspections in order to clarify the situation in a short period of time and to take measures so that crossing the border would be normalized.

Buffer parking lots are supposed to create convenience for passing trucks, but instead they open up questions.

Politicians claim that the state allows and tolerates the regulation of traffic at border points to become a private monopoly.

“It’s time for the state to regain control of the borders,” PP-DB calls.

The Deputy Minister of Transport, Dimitar Nedyalkov, noted that there were similar traffic problems near Vidin near Ruse. However, a solution has been found in Rousse and in a short period of time a way will be sought to apply this model to “Danube Bridge 2” as well. For this purpose, the ministry, with the assistance of the regional governor of Vidin, will hold an urgent conversation with the local authority and the company that manages the parking lot near Vidin.

The Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Violeta Koritarova, the Minister of Agriculture and Food Georgi Tahov, the Executive Director of the NRA Rumen Specov, the Director of the DG Border Police Anton Zlatanov, the Director of the Customs Agency Georgi Dimov participated in the meeting in the Council of Ministers.
