After investigations as part of the ongoing operation, it was possible to close one of the targets in charge of managing the drivers with the aim of introducing the drug into the city of León for its subsequent distribution.
The vehicles were owned by another of the suspects and had hidden homemade “bays” in the interior compartment.
Following multiple procedures and checks, it was possible to discover the addresses where the suspects hid the drugs once they arrived in the city, as well as the money that its distribution brought them, according to sources from the National Police.
Profits made from the sale of cocaine were laundered through two companies, one of which was in the construction business and the second managed the operation of various nightclubs in Leon.
The suspects were advised by an experienced tax engineering executive to give legal tender to the money from drug trafficking.
Following the house searches of the suspects carried out with the relative judicial authorization, among other things, 4,000 grams of cocaine, 33,000 euros in cash, precision scales and the vehicles through which the drug was introduced into the city of León were seized .
With these arrests, the León de Este settlement was dismantled and, once the police procedure was concluded, the detainees were placed at the disposal of the capital’s duty court, which ordered the incarceration of two of them.
With these arrests, six people already under investigation for crimes against public health have been made available to the judicial authority in December of this year.
