After the investigations in the framework of the ongoing operation, it was possible to close one of the objectives that was in charge of managing drivers with the purpose of introducing the drug into the city of León for its subsequent distribution.
The vehicles were owned by another of the suspects and they had hidden home-made “coves” in the interior compartment.
As a result of multiple procedures and follow-ups, it was possible to find out the addresses in which those investigated hid the drug once it arrived in the city, as well as the money that its distribution brought them, according to sources from the National Police.
The profits obtained from the sale of cocaine were laundered through two companies, one of which had the construction branch as its activity and the second managed the operation of various nightclubs in Leon.
Those investigated were advised by an expert manager in charge of tax engineering in order to give legal tender to money from drug trafficking.
As a result of the house searches of those investigated carried out with the pertinent judicial authorization, 4,000 grams of cocaine, 33,000 euros in cash, precision scales and the vehicles through which the drug was introduced into the city of León were seized, among other things.
With these arrests, the settlement in León de Este was dismantled. Once the police proceedings were completed, the detainees were placed at the disposal of the capital’s duty court, which ordered the imprisonment of two of them.
With these arrests, there are already six people investigated for crimes against public health that have been made available to the judicial authority in December of this year.
