The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, has urged the Venezuelan population to obtain the booster vaccine against Covid-19, given the new wave of infections around the world.
“We must continue to place reinforcements. In Venezuela we have achieved a high level of protection for people”, said the head of state during the graduation ceremony for medical specialists and nurses of the National Public Health System, which took place in the auditorium of the Military Academy of Caracas.
The national executive has ensured that “Venezuela maintains the lowest levels of infections and mortality in the world against the coronavirus”.
On December 12, the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, headed the Presidential Commission for the Control and Prevention of Covid-19, with the aim of supervising the progress of the Immunization Plan that is being implemented in the national territory.
The meeting was attended by Spanish professor Gorka Orive Arroyo, of Stanford University.
