The National Day of the Gardonnette

Ces participants, gathered on the course of the Eure, in front of the Maison des Pêcheurs, were divided into two categories: competitors (members of the Gardonnette) and non-competitors (non-licensed) and were judged according to the total weight of the fish caught.

Dominique Dupin, in charge of the competition section of La Gardonnette, explains: “This is an activity that we have been offering for years in collaboration with the city to celebrate the National Day in our own way and to get together with fishermen. »

In the afternoon, the Gardonnette organized another competition at the Goujonnière pond (Nogent-sur-Eure) which brought together thirty-nine fishermen, a competition named “Challenge Patrick-Guesdon” in tribute to a fisherman diligent. “He was a competitor and passionate about fishing, this competition is dedicated to him to mark his memory”, underlined Thierry Couvray, president of the Gardonette Chartraine, who unveiled on this occasion the acquisition of a new pond, Damoy ( Saint-Georges-sur-Eure) in collaboration with the Eure-et-Loir Fishing Federation, a purchase which will be finalized at the end of the year.
