This Tuesday morning, 140,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines arrived in the country. Said batch comes from Spain, bought by the National Government from the European country.

Said batch will be used to complete the vaccination schedule of the people who received the first dose with the anticovid immunological.

Héctor Castro, director of the Expanded Immunization Program, clarified that all people who received their first dose until June 30 will be able to come and complete their vaccination schedule.

The Ministry of Health decided to adjust its calendar and allow all those who received their first dose until June 30 to receive their second dose of AstraZeneca starting tomorrow, Thursday. In principle, it was established that this week all those who received their first dose until June 15 would receive their second dose of AstraZeneca.

Finally, it was decided to continue with the immunization and extend the interval until June 30 thanks to the arrival of a new batch of 140,000 doses, purchased by Paraguay through the government of Spain.

Some 40,000 people must complete their vaccination and immunization schedule against covid-19, with the application of the second dose of the AstraZeneca platform during these three days. While the Moderna platform has 22,332 doses to complete the vaccination schedule for those people who received the first dose with this platform.

SPUTNIK V

The vaccination of the Sputnik V platform (second dose) continues today, for people who received the first dose until May 26. On the date those who have a certificate ending from 5 to 9 must appear, and tomorrow, Thursday, August 26, it will be applied to those who are left behind.
