The mythical ZeBrene is celebrating again – this time with Aija Andrejeva – Music

The ceremony of presenting the Latvian Music Record of the Year Award “Golden Microphone” stood out with several premieres, and one of them was ZeBrene’s arrival with Aija Andrejeva.

The mystical image ZeBrene, which entered the Latvian music market last year, has released its second single “Shaman”, this time in collaboration with the well-known local artist Aija Andrejeva, as well as producer Kaspars Anson. Both (publishers present it as all) ZeBrene’s songs are about psychological, internal problems, such as “Antidepressants” (it was a collaboration with Ozola) – about depression, but “Shaman” is about a childhood trauma, which, as a person grows, makes you feel about yourself, and you have to start thinking about what to do with them, how to fix them, how to help yourself. “It may sound like a joke, but it’s not a joke at all. The sauce in which this song is made is inspiring, and I very much hope that it will inspire others as well. Personally, it tells me about the identity crisis, about the moment when a person loses himself a bit, when there is a stage in life, that you try to reach the peaks so much that you forget who you are, and start looking for yourself again. The inner child has been forgotten, but you understand that the real joy and joy of life is possible only when you are in harmony with it, ”reveals Aija Andrejeva.

ZeBrene himself reveals that the song originated before his stage birth, almost “fell from the sky, sent from a satellite and it was immediately clear that it should be recorded in a duet with Aija Andrejeva”, because the piece is in a playful “vintage” style, it feels like a hippie atmosphere. ZeBrene himself addressed me for collaboration, and since the most listened song on my Spotify playlist last year was his Antidepressants, I can’t refuse. The cooperation was very easy. It’s as if we’ve met and worked together in a previous life, or just done it for decades. I hope that this very encouraging piece as a whole will be created for this gloomy time as a whole. The video for the song is also inspiring, uplifting and springy. I would like all this to give the listeners a great dose of energy and joy, ”Aija thinks.

The song also includes a video created by director Elvijs Pārpucis. “When I listened to the song, the first thread I came to mind immediately came to my mind, because it seemed interesting not only to film the clip, but also to build a studio, to create an exciting process itself, not just the end result. They wanted to be more involved in the preparation process as well, so there was work on the structure of the studio, painting – a big take to get a visually interesting result. To this first impulse, we added Aija’s idea that the clip needs children, and that I am currently obsessed with yellow. Combining all this together, a natural result was achieved, ”says Elvijs.
