The Mystery of the Poisoned Family in Bantar Gebang Begins to Unravel, 3 People Arrested Page all

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Police officers have arrested three people in connection with a family poisoning case in Ciketing Udik, Bantar Gebang, Bekasi City, West Java.

The results of the police investigation determined that the poisoning case that killed three people was a criminal event.

Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko said three people were arrested in connection with a poisoning case of a family in Bantar Gebang.

“The investigation process will carry out the handling of this case. This means that it is true that there was a crime,” said Trunoyudo, Tuesday (17/1/2023), in Jakarta.

The investigation process for the poisoning case in Ciketing Udik will be handled by the General Criminal Investigation Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya.

Investigations and efforts to shed light on the crime of poisoning by a family require the involvement of many parties or cross-professional collaboration, from forensics, psychologists to doctors.

This case began when the five family members were found by local residents lying helpless in their rented house in Ciketing Udik, on Thursday (21/1/2023).

The five people are named Ai Maimunah (40) and NR (5) (female); and Ridwan Abdul Muiz (23), Muhammad Riswandi (17), and Muhammad Dede Solehudin (34) (male).

Three of the five victims died, namely Ai Maimunah, Ridwan Abdul Muiz, and Muhammad Riswandi.

All three are related by blood as a mother and two biological children. Both Ridwan and Riswandi are Ai Maimunah’s children from her ex-husband named Didin (41).

The conditions of the other two victims, namely NR and Muhammad Dede Solehudin, have now improved although they still have to be treated at the hospital.

NR is the third child of Ai Maimunah who was born from her second marriage to a man with the initials WMN. Meanwhile, Muhammad Dede Solehudin is Ai Maimunah’s brother-in-law from her husband WMN.

Indicated murder

Trunoyudo was still reluctant to explain his identity, the location of the arrest, and the motive for the crime that occurred in Ciketing Udik. The police are currently still focusing on examining the three people who were arrested.

“There are several actors that we will convey in a comprehensive manner,” he said.

Nevertheless, there are parties who are suspected of having involvement in the poisoning cases experienced by the five members.

Didin, Ai Maimunah’s ex-husband, separately said that the death of his ex-wife and two sons was not natural. He said the poisoning incident could not be separated from the figure of AM’s husband, namely WWN.

Moreover, since the incident of poisoning, WMN seems to have disappeared into the earth. Even when he was taken to the hospital and buried, WWN never showed up.

“Now we don’t know where this WWN is. It disappeared after the incident,” said Didin.

According to Didin, even though they started living separately at that time, the relationship with his two sons never broke. In December 2022, RA, his eldest son, was still visiting his house in Cianjur, West Java.

“Lastly he said he wanted to marry someone here. After that, there was no further news,” said Didin.
