The police together with a team of forensic experts have come up with a definitive conclusion on the death of the Kalideres family. The four members of the Kalideres family were pronounced to have died naturally under unnatural conditions.

The bodies of the four victims were found on November 10, 2022. The four victims were father Rudyanto Gunawan (71), mother Renny Margaretha (68), uncle Budyanto Gunawan (68) and daughter Dian Febbyana (42) .

Scientific research

In investigating the Kalideres case, investigators from the General Directorate for Criminal Investigations of Polda Metro Jaya prioritize forensic investigations. The investigation was conducted in an intercollaborative manner involving digital forensic experts, forensic laboratories, forensic psychologists, up to religious sociologists.

“When we carry out a scientific investigation, we need to track down and analyze the available evidence to ensure that the findings are accurate and can be substantiated,” said Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Criminal Investigations Director Hengki Haryadi, at Polda Metro Jaya, on Friday ( 9/12).

The investigation was conducted using deductive and inductive methods. Along the way, it took the police a long time to find out about this case because this case was considered quite complicated.

“In this case, it is quite a complicated case and requires an extraordinary method. For example, during the autopsy, we not only did it once, but we did a control examination and managed to find feces. From the feces we had clues. So we need a lot of time,” Henki said.

Do not starve

Doctors and forensic experts confirmed that the four family members did not die of starvation. Two of them are known to have eaten three days before they died.

They are his uncle, Budyanto Gunawan (68), and his nephew, Dian Febbyana (42). This fact was discovered after doctors and experts examined their feces.

“We can state that the affected person or the deceased Budiyanto and the deceased Dian had eaten at least three days before the affected person died,” said the team of forensic experts, head of the forensic department of Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital ( RSCM), Dr. Ade Firmansyah Sugiharto, at a press conference, Friday (9/12).

In the analysis of the stool it is stated that there is a carbohydrate and fiber content. Presumably they had eaten rice.
