Jakarta – Recently, social media has been busy discussing ‘red house‘ which often appears on FTV and also action soap operas featuring dragons on one of the television stations. The house is dominated by red, so it’s no wonder the building is often called the red house.
One of the FTVs that uses this house is ‘Love Doesn’t Reach’. Apart from that, this house is often used for filming fairy tale series and ‘Misteri IIahi’. Meanwhile, these series are produced by the production house by PT Genta Buana Paramita (Genta Buana).
Genta Buana Paramita is known to the Indonesian people as a colossal film and series production house. The most famous are the Mysteries of Mount Merapi I, II and III.
Returning to the Red House, in the early 2000s, this house in the Depok area, West Java was often used by figures who played the role of rich people. Understandably, the house building was very large and luxurious at that time.

It turns out, the situation has really turned around 180 degrees. At the front, you could still see the front garden and the paved road leading to the house. However, currently the road and front of the house are filled with wild plants. Even the part of the road that is almost invisible is covered by plants. The security post building in front of the house also looks neglected.

The house building also looks abandoned, aka neglected. Some parts of the ceiling were seen to have fallen off while some parts of the floor were broken.
After further investigation, it turned out that the house had not been occupied by the owner for the past 2 years. Currently, there were only house guards there. This was expressed by actor Afdhal Yusman, one of the actors in the FTV ‘Kasih Tak Atas’.
Afdhal revealed that he had been to red house in 2019. At that time, the condition of the house was already somewhat neglected but not yet like this. He himself was shocked by the current condition of the house.
“(The comparison) is far. Very far. I was also surprised,” he told detikcom, Wednesday (22/11/2023).
“It was beyond my expectations. I said, ‘Why is it like this? Wait a minute, is this house for sale or not? But there’s no sign that it’s for sale’. We gave permission for this (recording a video), we didn’t play inside. We wouldn’t have dared if we didn’t have permission, he added.
Afdhal said that he knew the owner of this house and the previous owner. Owner red house Afdhal said that he did not intend to sell the house but only wanted to renovate it. However, until now no renovations have been carried out on the house.
Afdhal also said that when the red house was used for FTV filming by Genta Buana in 2003-2004, next to the house there were 2 buildings that were used as boarding houses. It is estimated that there are a total of around 20 boarding house doors in the two buildings. In 2019, according to Afdhal, the building was still there, but now it no longer exists.
“So the house used to have a boarding house 20 years ago, it was one of the houses with boarding houses at a decent price, the boarding house was luxurious because it had its own building,” he said.
“When I came in 2019, the building was still there, but it was no longer occupied, but it was still clean and tidy. But the house was a bit neglected, it wasn’t really tidied up, especially the top floor, it was really just left alone,” he said.
The condition of the house is somewhat neglected. There are several parts of the paint that are peeling off, there is dust on various objects, the wooden stairs are rotting with age, the ceiling is damaged, even on the second floor of the house the floor is broken.

However, there are still some things that have not changed, for example the painting, sofa, and dining area. Not only that, the legendary green curtains are still used in the house.
“I remember filming there, what reminded me were the curtains, the green color, until now, miraculously, it hasn’t changed for more than 20 years, it’s still the same. Only now the floors have gone up (raised), they’ve cracked, the stairs have also rickety,” he explained.

This house has a kitchen area, living room, 4-5 bedrooms, bathroom, dining area and yard. Afdhal said that this house has been around since the 1980s. As for the area itself, it is still not known for certain because it is so vast.
“If I estimate, maybe (the land area) is 3,000-4,000 m2 because apart from the house there is a building too, he had a building like that, only yesterday it wasn’t there, I was also confused. Well, that building is the one for the girls’ boarding house. There are 2 buildings in fact “It seems (the number of boarding houses) is around 20-30 doors in the 2 buildings. (The buildings) are 2 stories,” he concluded.
