Mastenbroek does not yet know where Rodin Fiber’s money has gone. ‘Laying the cables took longer anyway, due to setbacks like stones in the ground. Construction projects that take longer become more expensive. And if there is no more money to absorb those setbacks, then it stops. The shareholder, a Luxembourg company, has now said that it no longer wants to put any money into it.’
