Nature is a fascinating and complex system in which different living things are connected. I once believed that the largest living creatures were whales, native to the deep seas where no daylight can penetrate.
When I believed this, life was predictable. Recently I became captivated by an intriguing story about a dangerous creature. It builds underground root networks and sucks nutrients from trees. This monstrous creature mercilessly kills trees by destroying their roots. If it takes up residence under a large and unhappy forest, it can even become unimaginably threatening. Small mushrooms grow every year next to diseased or dried out trees. They appear to be offshoots of this giant mushroom.
Now I want to believe that nature itself is the greatest living thing. Humans merely resemble small, moldy mushrooms growing next to trees covered in moss. Why do I believe in this even though no one has ever left this world alive? I am not the first person who covered all unnecessary questions about various phenomena with the essence of nature, including questions about life and death. Without giving other names to this natural phenomenon, I patiently repeat that nature is a whole. It can target man by creating thoughts in his brain. However, if nature has the same character as a man, we must be careful. His greed does not create a world without locks. Even bicycles need the chains and locks. I’m not much better. There is nothing heavenly about greed. Nothing is above man. I have no evidence for this thought.
Brain of a fish
A Japanese scientist once made a video about the origins of thoughts in the brain of a fish. After watching this video I had no more doubts. Active neurons that light up as soon as the fish sees food in murky water have changed my perception. If man can remember thoughts, why should nature not be able to address man with his thoughts? Nature enables and supports many more complex processes in the universe every day. Even an ant, a flower and a crocodile possess intelligence. Nature is a living being that can get sick and get a fever.
For centuries, people have talked about the possibility of communication between humans and nature. But in today’s world, entire forests are disappearing in high furnaces. Children die from lack of drinking water. We breathe polluted air because we want to travel from one place to another. I do not judge complicated and complex processes. I accept people’s thoughts that don’t cause any change in their brains. Fortunately, I live in the world where there is proof for every claim. I hope that nature will not become ruthless because of my superficiality.
