The MWC begins with a debate on the future of technology and equality

The Mobile World Congress (MWC) will kick off this Monday with a debate on the future of artificial intelligence, 5G networks and virtual reality, which “necessarily” must be linked “to a shared vision to achieve a fair future and equitable for all”.

In the inaugural conference of the event that takes place these days in Barcelonathe general managers of Telefónica, Orange and the GSMA -the association that promotes the MWC- will analyze, together with the European Commissioner for the Internal Market and Services, the new “immersive and inclusive” path in which the technology industry finds itself. The organizers consider that “collaboration opportunities continue” in a context in which “mobile networks are evolving to be more open and agile”, providing “a smart platform ready for an expanding digital landscape”.

“Keynote 1”, starring José María Álvarez-Pallete, Christel Heydemann, Mats Granryd and Thierry Breton, is entitled “The vision of an open future” and will take place from 9:30 in the morning at the Barcelona Fair.
