A tribute to roots music
Vicent Colonques directs the gala of the VI Carles Santos Awards for Valencian Music, which will have a plot axis focused on root music, seen from a 21st century perspective, where the root is the genesis, the starting point and the birth of all current music.
The entire aesthetic concept of the gala, created by set designer Blanca Añón and designer Marta Negre, will start from this idea and develop its own ‘cosmos’ where the egg, as a primal form, symbolizes this root principle.
The event will feature the participation of prominent artists, such as Miquel Gil, Flora Sempere del Diluvi, Ana Zomeño, Quiteria Muñoz, Andrés Belmonte, La María, Alberto Gambino and Marala, who will perform different songs from the history of Valencian music.
All performances will be accompanied by the band Niu, with Marina Alcantud as musical director and Tere Núñez as co-director, and which also has Sílvia Martí on drums and Lucía Zambudio on guitar.
