The musical “Child of the Star” by Jānis Lūsēns and Kārlis Vērdiņš will be premiered at VEF Culture Palace / Article

The poet Kārlis Vērdiņš emphasized: “At the heart of the musical story is the need to love and trust, the ability to help and even sacrifice to get rid of selfishness and self-righteousness that poisones relationships with others. .

The main role of the musical – The Child of the Star – will be played by students of the Music Department of the Riga Dome Choir School Patriks Tabaks and Markuss Rūtentāls. Singers Zigfrīds Muktupāvels, Kristīne Zadovska, Uģis Roze, Katrīna Dimanta, Annija Putniņa, Edvards Grieze, Toms Kalderauskis, Emīls Gilučs, Daniels Pelnēns, as well as students and graduates of the Music Department of the Riga Dome Choir School will take part in the roles. The creative team of the new musical consists of director Mārtiņš Kagainis, choreographer Egija Abaroviča, vocal teacher Annija Putniņa, and the artists’ association “Countesses” takes care of the costumes and stage scenography. The show consists of “Producer Group 7”.

The premiere of the new musical “Zvaigznes bērns” will take place on January 19 in Riga, VEF Culture Palace, after which the performances will take place elsewhere in Latvia – Liepāja Concert Hall “Lielais dzintars” (January 21), Jelgava Culture House (January 22), Vidzeme Concert Hall “Cēsis “(January 23), Latgale Embassy” Gors “(February 5), Valmiera Culture Center (February 6), Ventspils, Theater House” Jūras vārti “(February 12) and Ogre Culture Center (February 13).
