Sakurai Sho to Host “THE MUSIC DAY 2023” with First-Ever On-Demand Streaming

Sakurai Sho will serve as the general host for the 11th consecutive year for the summer music special program “THE MUSIC DAY 2023” (from 3:00 to 10:54 PM at Makuhari Messe, Chiba), which will be broadcast live for 8 hours on NTV today. It has been decided that the program will also have its first-ever on-demand streaming.

“The MUSIC DAY” started in 2013 and celebrated its 10th anniversary this year. With Sakurai as the general host once again, over 45 artists showcased their performances on the stage filled with excitement.

The program will feature a live relay from Korea with luxurious K-POP artists, as well as the “NTV 70th Anniversary Shuffle Medley.” In addition, there will be a dream collaboration project featuring Okuda Tamio x Macaroni Enpitsu’s vocal and guitar, LE SSERAFIM x Honda Marin, and Hiromi x Snow Man. Following this year’s theme, “The Sound that Changed You,” there will be a segment called “Songs that Changed My Life,” where actress Fujiwara Norika and Saito Kyoko (Hinatazaka46) will passionately sing Nakamori Akina’s famous songs. Naniwa Danshi’s Ohashi Kazuya will perform “Genki wo Dashite” by Takeuchi Mariya, and actor-singer-songwriter Matsushita Kohei will sing “Mirai Yosouzu II” by DREAMS COME TRUE. Exclusive special performances that can only be seen here will also be streamed.

The on-demand streaming of “THE MUSIC DAY” will be available on TVer and NTV TADA (some parts may not be available due to rights issues). The streaming is scheduled to start around 7 PM on the 2nd and will be available for two weeks.

For the first time ever, “THE MUSIC DAY” will offer on-demand streaming, allowing viewers to catch up on the program’s content at their convenience. The on-demand option will be accessible on TVer and NTV TADA, with the streaming starting around 7 PM on the 2nd and available for a period of two weeks. Please note that certain parts of the program may not be available due to rights-related restrictions.
