The Elgoibar Music Band will meet again with its audience on May 30, seven months after its last live performance. The group led by Gorka Mujika will return to Kalegoen Square, the scene of one of their last concerts before the Covid 19 pandemic will force them to stop.
The last months have weighed like a slab in the career of the Band of Music. The outbreak of Covid 19 and the home confinement that forced the suspension of the concerts that were scheduled. After the summer and the mirage of the new normal, the band was back in business with a concert at the Kalegoen on September 27. That performance led to a concert in Olaizaga on October 18. In both cases, prevention against Covid 19 was very present (safety distance, capacity, mask, gel, …) and this will happen at the concert on May 30.
The Music Band had planned to offer a new concert in the parish of San Bartolomé on November 28, coinciding with the celebrations of Santa Cecilia, but the negative evolution of the pandemic forced the generalized suspension of this type of events. This stalemate seems to be coming to an end now and in a few days the band will meet its audience again.
