The initiative ‘A sound, a toy’ thus celebrates its fourth edition, which will be held on December 18, at 7:30 p.m., at the Santander Conference and Exhibition Center with a Christmas repertoire
The Santander City Council, through the Councils of Culture and Social Services, has scheduled for next December 18 the traditional Christmas Concert of the Municipal Music Band that one more year has a solidarity character and will allow, in its fourth edition, that the children of the most vulnerable families in the city receive toys on these important dates.
This has been reported by those responsible for areas, Javier Ceruti and Álvaro Lavin, who have said that the initiative ‘A sound, a toy’ will allow many minors from Santander to smile at such an unusual Christmas.
The toys will be donated to the La Encina neighborhood association, which will take care of their collection and subsequent distribution.
The concert will take place at 7:30 p.m. at the Palace of Exhibitions and Congresses of Santander, with a repertoire of light music related to the Christmas theme. Thus, pieces by composers such as L. Anderson, M. Carros, HC Lumbye, A. Reed will be performed, highlighting among others, the traditional Christmas carols or the Hymn of the Ode Alegría by Beethoven, on the 250th anniversary of his birth.
Access to the recital will be free but must be done by previously reserving the seat, with a maximum capacity of 200 people.
