VALENCIA. He Museum of Beautiful Arts presented the cultural programming for the first quarter of the year on Friday morning. From now on, as indicated by the director of the Museum, Pablo Gonzalez Tornel, the agenda will be shown like this, by quarters and in advance. In addition to the director, the technicians attended the press conference Ramon Martinez Miñana and Estrella Rodríguez Roncero.
2021 starts in Museum of Beautiful Arts with a clear objective: attract a diverse audience of all types and of all ages. To do this, the planned activities are born with the intention of moving away from the high culture, without forgetting, of course, art. “For dense culture we already have our permanent exhibition. With this calendar we want to make a playful program – González explained Tornel-. This is a complement to the main work of the Museum. A different approach, in a broad sense. Above all, we have to exercise our work as a cultural engine, always safeguarding the heritage Valencian”.
The weeks have been structured more or less uniformly. Tuesdays will be dedicated to the film club, with screenings of thematic cycles. Wednesdays will be for the performing arts, with contemporary dance, flamenco and pop music. During Thursday afternoons there will be conferences of professionals related to the current exhibitions at the Museum. On Fridays there will be informative training courses in Art History. Lastly, Sundays will be for families. He Museum will organize activities for children in different locations of the center.
Academic Thursdays
González Tornel explained that Thursdays Museum of Beautiful Arts They will bring together conferences by renowned experts on topics always related to temporary exhibitions, collecting or the world of museums. He has spoken, in particular, of experts such as the sculptor Maria Bolaño, the specialist in flamenco painting Ana Dieguez (who will attend the presentation of the work of Van Dyck) or the former director of the Museum Carlos Reyero, which will talk about 19th century painting.
In this sense, Tornel He has warned that this agenda is the one prepared on January 8, but that the health situation could cause them to be forced to make changes or cancellations. As well has emphasized the intention of Museum for maintaining “parity criteria”. “It’s something we always keep in mind, but the truth is that it doesn’t take any effort. There are more female art academics than men in Spain. In flamenco and dance, too. It is something to be pleased about. A few years ago it would have been difficult to maintain these criteria, but today it comes out alone. And it helps us to approach visions of art from totally new points of view ”.
In addition to those already mentioned, the conferences will be attended Jose Gomez Frechina, to talk about the Master of Perea; Maria Luisa Vázquez from Aggres Pascual, with the conference The blues in the paint; Mary Tausiet, with Imagined relics. From the material to the intangible; Ester Alba and Rafael Gil, with Joaquin Agrasot, an international painter; and Monica Bolufer, with Read the world. Women and cosmopolitanism in the 18th century.

It showed the biggest topics of our society, and it was banned. There were complaints to Paramount and the tapes were removed. It was only recovered in 1959 thanks to Dietrich herself, who had a copy ”.
