The iconic Estanquillo Museum reopened its doors and invites us to immerse ourselves in the life and work of one of the most prolific creators of national cinematography: the director, screenwriter and photographer Gilberto Martínez Solares, author of a varied legacy consisting of nearly 160 films.

The exhibition The photo-film ingenuity of Gilberto Martínez Solares. 70 years of creation, is made up of nearly 700 pieces and tells us about the relevance of this pillar of Mexican cinema. Since his beginnings as a studio photographer in the 1930s, where he quickly stood out thanks to his innovative lighting technique; to the dumbbell he had with German Valdes Tin Tan, whom he directed, among others, in The king of the neighborhood Y Tender zucchini, two of his most iconic films.
