– He shot wildly, and I had no doubt that he tried to kill me too. I always felt that I was hit while running, Bertheussen has previously said See and listen.

– Expected
–
During the trial, the district court shall decide whether they believe that the accused is sane under criminal law. If they conclude that he is not, the public prosecutor wants him sentenced to compulsory mental health care.
Defendant’s attorney John Christian Elden is not surprised by the indictment.
– It was expected an indictment with transfer to mental health care as this case has developed during the investigation. Now we can only hope the case for everyone involved gets a quick and dignified end in the court system, says Elden to Dagbladet.
According to the indictment, the public prosecutor also wants to confiscate three pistols, a large number of knives and two swords from the accused man.
Mentally ill
The accused son’s mother told Dagbladet a few days after the murder that he has suffered mentally for many years.
– I was waiting for something to happen, and feared this. It could just as easily have been me who was killed, she told Dagbladet.
Kjærvik’s cohabitant Bertheussen was also worried that something would happen. She has previously told Dagbladet that she notified PST, but she experienced not being heard.
The accused man has previously admitted to killing his father.
