The Pechersk District Court of Kiev on Wednesday, August 18, sentenced ex-boxer Pyotr Ocheretyaniy, who was found guilty of the death of an employee of the State Security Department (during the presidency of Petro Poroshenko – ed.) Vasily Khmelyuk, the newspaper reports. Country.

Judge Svetlana Shaputko found Ocheretyaniy guilty of committing a crime under article Infliction of grievous bodily harm, resulting in death (part 2 of article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and sentenced him to seven years in prison.

At the same time, they did not take him into custody in the courtroom, and until the sentence came into force, they left him at large.

Recall the murder occurred on January 2, 2019, at about 23:20 in Kiev on Sapernoe Pole street, 12, on the territory of the French quarter residential complex. Former boxer Pyotr Ocheretyaniy was walking with the dogs, and the car in which the UGOU employee Khmelyuk was driving, as it seemed to Ocheretyaniy, almost ran into his dogs. A conflict arose, during which Ocheretyany stabbed Khmelyuk in the head, from which he fell and died.
