Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Friday December 2, 2022.- The city participation area of the city council of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria has proposed to more than 200 secondary school students to change class for a day at the cinema, in this case inclusive , with the aim of promoting the integration of people with disabilities into society through the seventh art.
The Councilors for Social Services and Youth, Carmen Luz Vargas and Carla Campoamor, attended yesterday with the students the screening of the film ‘Wonderful Minds’ at the cinema of the El Muelle shopping centre. The film, which officially debuts in the Canary Islands, won the jury prize at the Malaga film festival.
The screening of the film closes the program of activities which saw cinema, theatre, inclusive photography and the holding of the first plenary session of the Sectoral Council for Disability which the Consistory organized to commemorate the celebration, on 3 December, of the International Day of Persons with disabilities.
