Members of the Addiction Prevention Directorate of the Municipality of Puerto Madryn participated in a provincial tobacco control table, organized by the Addiction Prevention and Assistance Directorate of the Ministry of Health of Chubut. During the meeting, the search for comprehensive work strategies and the execution of actions to reduce consumption were set as objectives.
It should be remembered that these spaces, which are multisectoral in nature, try to give continuity to prevention actions, through work processes with all sectors promoting public policies and healthy habits, with regulatory measures and with awareness and information campaigns on this. problematic.
In the meeting, several axes were proposed, oriented to the analysis of existing laws regarding tobacco consumption, the development of prevention models, promotion of healthy lifestyles, training of health agents, regulation of accessibility to tobacco, promotion and regulation of smoke-free environments.
