The City Council of Logroño, through the Department of Equality, is offering this Tuesday and Wednesday the path aimed especially at family audiences “The gaze of speech and music”, included in the municipal initiative “Logroño with another gaze”. It will start from the CEIP Ana María Matute, cross the streets of Rosa Chacel and Nieves Sáinz de Aja and end at Paseo María Moliner.
This walk is one of the two that this edition has incorporated into “Logroño with another gaze”, together with the path “The gaze of education” and combines the two initials of “The gaze of writers” and “The gaze of work” . All walk through streets of the city that bear the name of women to recognize and highlight the role of reference that women have had in various fields, such as literature, thought, politics, trade unionism, feminism, education, music , among others, and its contribution to the betterment of society.
The ‘Look at the word and music’ tour that is part of this edition is particular, because it is aimed at a family audience and will encourage the active participation of the girls and boys who participate. This visit underlines the value of words and music as the most beautiful things that have ever been created. It will start from the CEIP Ana María Matute (located in Alemania street, 19), will cross Rosa Chacel street and Nieves Sáinz de Aja street to finish at Paseo María Moliner.
The route will be animated by actors and actresses, who will bring us closer to the life of these exceptional women and to the historical events and happenings of the different times in which they lived.
This activity is free and is aimed at the general public. Capacity is limited to 50 people and an invitation is required, which can be collected from the Information Service 010 of the Municipality, with a maximum of two per person.
The Councilor for Equality underlined that “society needs to know these women as social references, women who have contributed their contribution to our society; making them visible, remembering and knowing them is also essential to move towards a more egalitarian society “.
In this way, she highlighted “we continue to make known, in a playful and fun way, the biography of important writers, philosophers, teachers and fighters for women’s rights, learning about the time in which they lived, as well as anecdotes and curiosities about Logroño “.
