The case is being updated.
– I have great understanding that many of you are worried about the situation we are now experiencing in the municipality. This is completely natural. It is now important that we all do what we can to help reduce the infection and not least that we as a local community show care for those who have been infected, says mayor of Nærøysund municipality, Amund Hellesø, in a press release Sunday night.
The municipality received a new case of the coronavirus on Sunday, where the route of infection is still unclear. Therefore, new measures are now being introduced in the municipality.
– All known close contacts of the case of infection that was revealed on Sunday are quarantined. Infection tracing is in full swing. 17 rapid tests have been performed. None of these have detected infection. We are now awaiting answers to ordinary tests. Extended testing will continue on Monday, the municipality writes in the press release.
These are the measures:
- Schools are kept at the red level. This means that some of the schools will have closed on Monday 22 March in order to prepare for the red level.
- Sports halls, public swimming pools and gyms are kept closed. Physiotherapy treatment is carried out as planned. The sports halls are kept open for school use.
- All events, meetings and gatherings with more than ten people are canceled until further notice.
- Home office is encouraged for anyone who can have it. Meetings should be conducted digitally.
- The doctors’ offices will be closed for ordinary consultations. The emergency room will be open, it is possible to get consultations over the phone / online.
- For 1-to-1 treatment (such as a hairdresser, physiotherapist, etc.), a face mask should be used.
- All must follow current national guidelines and recommendations
The municipality asks that people have a special focus on these recommendations:
- Limit the number of social contacts to a minimum
- Wear face masks in places where it is not possible to keep more than two meters away from others.
- Download and use the infection tracking app
