The Municipal Authority of Ioannina expresses its disgust at the unprecedented fan-motivated fight that took place in the city.
As she points out in today’s announcement, “such behaviors do not match the culture of our country, with its values and cannot have any place among us”.
The Municipal Authority states that it stands by the side of the young man who is fighting for his life and expresses its support to his family.
“The independent justice that we all have to trust will work justly and bring the responsibilities to those who belong. It is the duty of all of us not to allow similar phenomena to be repeated. In this direction, the Municipality will take initiatives in the immediate future. In the current phase, we all have to contribute to restore calm to the city” says the Mayor of Ioannina, Dimitris Papageorgiou, in his statement.
