Following the decision of the Municipal Committee, the Municipality of Artaia is proceeding with the submission of a proposal for the financing of the energy upgrade of the 1st EPAL Arta.
The proposal includes three sub-projects:
- Energy upgrade with energy saving and renewable energy (RES) actions in the 1st EPAL of Artas.
- Issuance of an energy efficiency certificate.
- Building Construction Infrastructure Projects (C.K.O.).
The energy interventions in the school building are of particular importance both for its daily use and for saving energy. The study includes the following actions:
- Thermal insulation of the roof and installation of external thermal facade.
- Replacement of frames.
- Replacement of the existing boiler and burner with a new high efficiency boiler.
- Installation of a photovoltaic system on the roof of the building.
The aim of these interventions is to reduce the environmental footprint and improve the energy efficiency of the building. The Municipal Authority aims to upgrade the 1st EPAL, which accommodates approximately 800 students and teachers.
Priority will be given to school buildings to upgrade and improve infrastructure, promote renewable energy sources to achieve maximum efficiency and savings, and improve conditions for students.
