The mass grave recently discovered in Vianen is increasing in size. When it was announced last week, the counter was at 20, but more than 40 skeletons have already been found.
The municipality of Vijfheerenlanden expects a total of about one hundred skeletons to emerge. The bone remains appeared during excavation work on the city moat.
The skeletons are believed to have come from young people and have been underground for centuries. Research should provide more clarity about this. The excavation of the bone remains will certainly take until the end of this year, reports RTV Utrecht.
