The Municipality accompanied the event for National Sovereignty Day | Sur54.com

Representing the Municipality, the General Director of Cooperation and Strategic Affairs, Ariel Rodríguez, gave a speech in which he reaffirmed the position of Mayor Martín Perez and the Municipal Management regarding the Malvinas Question and the exercise of our Argentine sovereignty.

“We know that these are difficult times for the defense of our sovereignty in the South Atlantic. That is why from our city, we see that a profound change is necessary in the outlook and in the guidelines that our Foreign Ministry has been carrying out in terms of foreign policy for our region. From Río Grande, we demand from the national government that the Malvinas Cause be treated again as a State policy,” he emphasized.

Likewise, highlighting the location of Río Grande as a geopolitical and geostrategic center of Bicontinental Argentina, he stressed that “we have the task of working on a national strategic agenda that is configured as a flag of unity for all municipalities and all provinces, and supported also, for all the countries in the world that pursue, like us, the conviction of putting an end to colonialism as it is known.”

Also present were: the manager of the Sports, Culture and Tourism Agency, Sebastián Bendaña; the Secretary of Public Works, Silvina Mónaco; the Undersecretary of Maternities and Childhood, Silvana Angelinetta; the General Director of Coordination, Matías Bucci; provincial officials, representatives of armed and security forces; community in general.
