The Municipal Theater prepares for the open rehearsal of the Salta Symphony this Thursday – News

The Municipality, through the Active Culture Agency, invites the community to the open rehearsal of the Salta Symphony. The date was rescheduled and will take place this Thursday, October 31 at 6:30 p.m. at the Teatro Municipal, Avda. Paraguay 1240.

It will be attended by the French guest conductor, Christophe Talmont, and the directors of the province’s Children and Youth Orchestra, Carolina Pineda and Martín D’elía.

This performance will be prior to the free concert that will be offered on Friday, November 1 at 8:30 p.m. in the San Juan Bautista de La Merced parish, Caseros 857. On the occasion, a tribute will be held for the centenary of Gabriel’s death Fauré, one of the most important figures in French music.

The program will include Fauré’s “Suite Masques et Bergamasques, Op. 112“, a work full of delicacy and charm that captures the composer’s neoclassical spirit.

To this will be added the “Concertino for flute, Op. 107” by Cécile Chaminade, in which the outstanding flutist Marina Tiburcio will be the soloist.

And to close the evening, the Orchestra will perform the majestic “Symphony in D minor” by César Franck, a fundamental work of the romantic symphonic repertoire. The celebration represents a unique opportunity for classical music lovers.
