This Friday continued in the pavilion of the Parque de El Almendral, in Cartaya, the closing of course of the Municipal Academy of Music and the Cartayero Musical Athenaeum, which already experienced its first part on Thursday afternoon in the Plaza de las Sirenas in El Rompido.
A wide representation of 150 students who throughout the year receive musical training at the Cultural Center of the Villa, participated in the two final auditions that, within the framework of the program street music, organized the area of Culture of the City Council of Cartaya. The objective was, on the one hand, to show what was learned during the course and on the other, “to take the music and the work that is done with these students to the street, to the public spaces of our town, to dynamize them and to create a fondness for music”.
This was highlighted by the mayor, Josefa González Bayo, and the Councilor for Culture, María Dolores Carro, who valued “the great work carried out by the monitors of this school, as well as the expansion of the offer of an academy that has been incorporating workshops y combosmade up of groups of musicians from the quarry itself, which in many cases function independently with notable success”.
All of them, from the age of four onwardsleft a sample of their good work with a wide range of instruments such as the clarinet, trumpet, sax, guitar, piano or their own voice, among other disciplines, offering an authentic musical show to the many visitors who already in this time of year they congregate in the coastal nucleus.
