Telde, July 30, 2024. The Telde Municipal Music Band will hold its traditional concert this Thursday, August 1, at 8:00 p.m., in honor of Our Lady of Las Nieves, the city’s perpetual mayor. The event, part of the patron saint festivities of Lomo Magullo, will take place in the neighborhood square.
It is worth noting that the concert, which has been a tradition since the arrival of the Virgin to the town more than a century ago, is a highly anticipated event by its residents, with the Municipal Band, deeply rooted in Lomo Magullo, being an integral part of these festivities with its music.
In this sense, the Department of Culture, headed by Juan Martel, invites all residents and visitors to join the celebration and enjoy the concert that has been specially organized for this day, “which promises to be an evening full of music and emotion in honor of Our Lady of Las Nieves.”
Recognition to the Music Band
In recognition of the outstanding career of the Telde Municipal Music Band and its contribution to the cultural life of the neighbourhood, it received a special tribute last Saturday 27 July, during the Descent of the Virgin. The award also underlines the importance of the Band not only as a musical group, but as a symbol of the city’s tradition and heritage.
