The Municipal Library of Xàtiva has installed a shelf at the main entrance, next to the elevator, dedicated to the exchange of books between users, a practice known as «BookCrossing».
“BookCrossing” is a widespread practice throughout the world that consists of leaving books in public places for other readers to take advantage of. The idea is to free books to be read successively by other people.
It should be noted that it is not a space to give books to the library, but to share them freely with the rest of the citizens of Xàtiva and the users of the Library.
“We make this exchange point available to the public so that they can leave the books they no longer need or pick up the ones they find interesting to read,” said Library Councilor Mariola Sanchis.
