News (Nouakchott) – The municipal council in the municipality of Toujnine in the northern state of Nouakchott approved, during a session held on Wednesday, the administrative account, the management account for the year 2022, and the supplementary budget for the year 2023, while its session was known as a praise for the performance of Mayor Dr. Mohamed El-Amine Shoaib during the completed assignment.
During its session, the council approved a deliberation related to increasing the salaries of permanent workers in the municipality.
The members of the municipal council expressed their thanks to the mayor, and their appreciation for the outcome, which they described as honorable, for the work of the municipal council during the completed assignment, and their appreciation for the distinguished experience that they had together in an atmosphere of harmony and mutual respect.
Mayor Ould Chouaib also thanked all the members of the Municipal Council for the good feelings they overwhelmed him with, and for the spirit of cooperation and harmony that prevailed throughout the mission despite the differences in political orientations and party affiliations, wishing everyone the fulfillment of aspirations and hopes.
The representative of the state authority, the governor of Tujnin province, Adam Ardo, has valued the atmosphere of harmony and cooperation that distinguished the sessions of the municipal council that he attended, and the responsibility and positivity he felt in dealing with local affairs and his transgression of the logic of partisan alignment in favor of the public interest.
The governor considered that the experience of the municipal council of Toujnine, which is made up of different political formations, is exemplary and a vivid example of the ability of municipal councils with multiple affiliations to manage differences and manage differences according to what serves local development.
The governor thanked the mayor for his good management of the municipal council, and the efforts made by the municipality for the benefit of the residents, and for his cooperation with the administration to solve citizens’ problems.
