The Mundo Deportivo shows the burofax with which Messi last year asked for the sale

Leo Messi’s transfer to Paris Saint-Germain was certainly a major transfer market hit. Yet a year earlier, Pulga had announced his stay at Barcelona after a short time before, he had officially asked for the sale. The Argentine star on 24 August 2020 had in fact sent a burofax to the then president Bartomeu in which he officially asked to leave Catalonia. The document, shown exclusively by Sports world, calls into question the clause 3.1 of the contract stipulated by Messi on 25 November 2017 which provided for the departure on a free transfer by 10 June 2020. The reason for the request despite being out of time, explains the player in the document, must be sought in the fact that the season had ended a week ago.
