In light of the recent rumors about banning the screening of the movie “Barbie” in Egypt, coinciding with the decision to ban it in some Arab countries such as Lebanon, it was decided to show the film in the country, starting tomorrow, Saturday.

The Egyptian public was surprised by the “Renaissance” cinema, which announced the start of showing the film without an age rating, and ticket bookings had already begun.

And the cinema published the movie poster, accompanied by the phrase: “The long wait is over.. Book your tickets for Barbie now through our website. Prepare your pink clothes and secure your seat in the Renaissance Cinema to get the most popular movie of the season.”

Cinema workers responded to the audience on their “Instagram” page, about the category that is allowed to enter to attend the film – especially since many countries have set an age classification of +15 conditions for showing the film, such as the Emirates – that the film is for all family members, and the slogan “General Audience” was placed on The movie poster published by the cinema.

Questions were also raised about the possibility of showing the film in all branches of the cinema, and the response was affirmative, except for the Downtown Cinema only, as it will be shown in each of the cinema branches in San Stefano, Smouha in Alexandria Governorate, Dandy Mall, Madinaty, and Al Rehab in New Cairo.

Ticket prices varied between 70, 80, 100 and 150 Egyptian pounds.

It is noteworthy that the film will not only be shown in public cinemas in Egypt, but also in independent cinemas, which was announced, on Thursday evening, by Zawya Cinema, which released tickets in preparation for the start of showing the film, starting tomorrow, Saturday.
