On May 28 and 29, classic motorcycles and their enthusiasts will be celebrating during the Legend Moto Cups on the Dijon-Prenois circuit (Côte d’Or).
At the end of May, the Côte d’Or will be the epicenter of the classic motorcycling world. On May 28 and 29, the Coupe Moto Légende is held. On this occasion, more than 1,300 riders are expected on the famous Dijon-Prenois circuit for the largest gathering of motorcycle enthusiasts in Europe. For two days, bikers will take over the track reserved for them. The opportunity to celebrate vintage motorcycles and visit the pit lane in Burgundy. Grand Prix stables will thus be accessible to visitors.
Beautiful people among the guests
Several renowned pilots will be present at this event. The iconic Giacomo Agostini will be there, and will celebrate his 80th birthday at the same time. We will also find Marco Lucchinelli, 1981 500cc world champion, for his first visit to Dijon-Prenois. Also world champion, twice in 250cc, Carlos Lavado will be present alongside Jean-Claude Chemarin, famous for his four Bol d’Or victories in a row (from 1976 to 1979) and his three successes at the 24 Hours of Le Mans Motorcycle.
Animations and exhibitions for enthusiasts
Even off the road, there will be movement and spectacle. Several stands will be found around the track, as has been the custom since 1993. Mutuelle des Motard, BMW and the FFMC are among the exhibitors. The Departmental Council of the Côte-d’Or plans road prevention and safety activities. Highlight of the weekend, the exhibition of the Gérald-Motos team: several legendary cars will be shown to spectators, and some will even go for laps. After two years of absence linked to the pandemic, 30,000 visitors are expected for the big return of this motorcycle festival.
