The mother of three has beaten cancer three times

Jessica Sloane (28) of Sowerby Bridge in the UK has had cancer three times and battled the disease as many.

She was in hospital last week for preventative care when she became seriously ill, writes the local British newspaper The Halifax courier.

Cyst erupted

A cyst bursting on her ovaries caused an infection from which doctors could not save her.

The mother of three was in a coma for two days before she died Sunday evening, surrounded by loved ones.

Her fiancé, Conor Waddington, told The Halifax Courier that Sloane had been in a great mood recently, as she had recently beaten cancer for the third time in her life.

– She went to the hospital for four days of treatment, but fell ill very quickly, adds Waddington The Halifax courier.

First cancer diagnosis

Sloane was 26 when she was first diagnosed with leukemia in May 2020, when her youngest was 11 months old.

The past two years have been a roller coaster for Sloane and the family, who have undergone an extremely large number of treatments to overcome the disease.

She got rid of the disease over and over, but it kept coming back.

At one point she remained in an induced coma for 18 days after a stroke, and at another time doctors only gave her a few weeks to live.

– An inspiration

Sloane leaves behind her three children, Luishon (10), Luiellah (6), Odealliah (3) and fiancé Conor Waddington.

– He fought “tooth and nail” all the way. She reacted against the gloomy predictions of the experts and was always positive, says Waddington, before continuing:

– She was just fantastic, absolutely fantastic. She was an inspiration to everyone and a brilliant mother. She did the best of her for everyone. She was sociable and lived life to the fullest.

The couple had been together for five years when Sloane died.

The mother of three worked at several cafes in Halifax City, including Cafe Sol. The ex-girlfriend says she loved meeting and talking to people.

– It has influenced the lives of many people. I’ve been getting messages from people I don’t even know saying they heard the story about her, says Waddington.
