“They want to close my son’s case but I keep looking for him.” Roberta Carassai, mother of Alessandro Venturelli, a young man missing from Sassuolo since 5 December 2020, told the Gazzetta di Reggio. Today Mrs. Carassai left for a destination not currently disclosed, abroad, together with her lawyer Claudio Falleti and Marc Di Maggio who is helping her with the research. They left together to verify another report that arrived after investigations carried out by Di Maggio.
For four years the woman has never stopped and now the date of the hearing to oppose the dismissal of Venturelli’s case is approaching – there is talk of kidnapping against unknown persons – set for Monday. For some time, Mrs Carassai has been fighting to ask for the research to be extended abroad too.
In these four years he founded a voluntary organization dedicated to the search for missing persons, «Nostos International Italia odv».
«I will never stop looking for my son – he underlines – Every day I wake up with the hope of bringing him home, and it is this hope that gave me the strength to found Nostos. We cannot give up until every family hugs their loved ones again.”
